The Republic of Benin is a long stretched country in West Africa. It’s situated east of Togo and west of Nigeria. Cotonou is the capital and the only international airport in Benin. There are direct flights to Benin from Belgium, France, Turkey and a number of African countries. In addition to this, there are 578 kilometres of railways in the country, developed under a joint agreement with the Republic of Niger.

The Pendjari National Park sits in north western Benin, adjoining the Arli National Park in Burkina Faso. Named after the Pendjari River, the national park is known for its wildlife and is home to some of the last populations of big game. These include African forest elephant, lion, hippopotamus, African buffalo, and various antelopes. In addition to this, the park is also famous for its birds.
