The Mercado Municipal, Masaya’s primary market, is a bustling and colorful food and crafts market. It is located in the center of the city and great for people watching. Another market is the Mercado de Artesanias. Here they exhibit traditional Nicaraguan handicrafts such as colorful woven blankets and little handbags and sandals. Masaya is within easy reach of Granada as it is only a short drive away. You can get there on your own by taking one of the buses that depart from the bus station. They run on a regular basis.
