Firstly this city has a population of 1.5 million. Located in western Mexico, it is famous for its tequila and mariachi music.

As with other Mexican cities, the town’s focus is its main square La Plaza Mayor. Next to it is the outstanding Metropolitan Cathedral. This is the heart of downtown. Furthermore to get around the city is real easy. The city had a grid pattern, similar to that of say Barcelona.

Moreover other must visit historic buildings includes the Expiatory Temple and the Instituto Cultural Cabanas. In addition there is Teatro Degollado too.

For nature lovers, visit Bosque Colomos. Not only are there  beautiful trials, but also picnic areas. Likewise there are places for exercise. Additionally you can go on horseback should you wish. Other natural pursuits include a visit to the aquarium Acuario Michin. Or visit Zoo Guadalajara to see over 2,000 animals.
